About Jeremy
A Specialist Who Actually Knows Your World.
Most insurance agents work for insurance companies. I work for you. My job is to be the risk advisor your practice has never had, someone who understands your world and fights for your interests.

How It Started
Frustrated Client Becomes the Agent He Wished He Had.
I got into insurance because I was frustrated with my own agent. I looked around and saw an industry full of people going through the motions, collecting renewals, checking boxes, and moving on. Nobody was really digging in. Nobody was asking the hard questions. I thought I could do better, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made.
My first healthcare client was a dental practice. One conversation turned into another, and I just kept finding myself drawn deeper into that world. More importantly, I noticed how much I genuinely enjoyed it. Healthcare is a unique risk, complex, high-stakes, and almost completely underserved by specialists. I wanted work that required real expertise, not just a renewal reminder. Healthcare gave me that.
How I Work
I Lead With Your World, Not Mine.
When I sit down with a healthcare professional for the first time, I'm not leading with policy options. I'm asking about their practice, the regulatory pressures they're navigating, the staffing challenges, the things that actually keep them up at night. Every specialty is different, and I've done the work to understand each one.
I represent you, not the insurance carrier. That means my job is to understand your risks, advocate for your interests, and make sure the coverage you carry actually fits your practice. Too many healthcare owners find out what they don't have covered when it's too late.
Sometimes that conversation is about real claims examples. Sometimes it's about specific exposures like cyber liability or license defense, which I feel strongly about. If you lose your license, you can't practice. That's not a hypothetical. That's existential. A good risk advisor catches that before it becomes a crisis.
What it means to have a risk advisor in your corner:
- I represent you, not the insurance carrier
- Deep knowledge of the risks specific to your specialty
- License defense coverage to protect your ability to practice
- Real claims examples that expose gaps most agents miss
- Risk management strategies that reduce your exposure over time
The Agency Behind Me
Personal Attention. Full Agency Backing.
I'm proud to be part of William Blount Insurance Advisors, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. It's a full-service independent agency with deep resources and a team of experienced professionals behind every client relationship. When you work with me, you get a specialist who knows your industry inside and out. And when you need something beyond my specialty focus, you have an entire office of customer service representatives, account managers, and advisors ready to help. You're not leaning on one person. You have a whole team. Have a business or property to insure outside of my specialty? We have a specialist for that too, across a wide range of industries from the corner restaurant to the regional manufacturer.
Industries We Serve
Outside the Office
Originally from Brownsville. Currently in East Memphis. Always a Work in Progress.
I grew up in Brownsville, Tennessee, and spent years as a working musician before finding my way into insurance. That chapter taught me discipline, listening, and patience, which unexpectedly translate pretty well into helping people navigate risk.
Today, I'm based in East Memphis with my wife Alyssa and our two dogs, and I'm a father to two daughters who mean the world to me. When I'm not working with healthcare professionals, I still write songs from time to time and go fishing when I can, mostly for the quiet more than the catch.
It's not flashy, but it's honest, and that's generally how I try to show up with clients too.
Ready to talk about your practice?
No pressure, no pitch. Just a real conversation about where you are and what you need.
